This week, I watched an endless stream of CEOs on CNBC spinning the most recent quarterly earnings, which to say the least were a surprise and disappointing. If I didn’t know better, I would think I was watching politicians. These CEOs were using the politician’s playbook: deny, deflect, and digress.
First, they denied the problem by saying this is just a “transitory” situation due to the supply chain impact resulting from the pandemic. Nothing to see here, folks. Look away…….
